A hearing was based on the Landsverordening Vervolging Politieke Gezagdragers Ordinance Prosecution Political Authority, a law that came in to place following the October 10th 2010 country status proclamation of St Maarten which states that persons in political ofifce including memers of parliament, cannot be prosecuted like any other citizen. MP Patrick was caught on camera at the Bada Bing brothel receiving money via brothel owner Jaap Van Den Heuvel.
